Demar Pitter

Demar is an associate and Patent Agent Trainee at Arcade, specializing in patent prosecution.

After earning his JD from the University of Ottawa and gaining more than ten years of scientific expertise, including a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Miami and a postdoctoral fellowship in Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Ottawa, Demar shifted his focus to intellectual property practice. He now helps innovators protect discoveries that drive modern technology. He advises clients in the life sciences, chemical, and engineering fields on patent drafting, prosecution, and strategic IP.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Demar’s research was published in leading journals such as ACS Chemical Biology, Organic Letters, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Journal of Environmental Science and Health. Outside his legal practice, he enjoys Japanese culture, photography, cooking, travel, and sports.
